Linsey McFadden is a current resident of Beavercreek. She was raised in the Dayton area, graduating from Springboro High School, and following her family’s tradition in the pharmaceutical field, she went on to The Ohio State University to obtain a Bachelor’s in Pharmaceutical Science and subsequently her Doctorate of Pharmacy. Linsey currently still works as a part-time pharmacist at the last remaining independent pharmacy in Springfield, Harding Road Pharmacy, where she loves the staff and patients she cares for.
Linsey has always had a deep connection with nature, which was cultivated in her younger years spending abundant time outdoors. She became very intrigued by the connection of soil health to human health, which led her to learn more about regenerative agriculture. She spent time at Dayton Urban Grown, learning hands-on about sustainable growing techniques. Wanting to have a larger impact on environmental issues facing the world, she enrolled in a program through the University of Florida and completed her Master’s in Soil, Water, and Ecosystem Sciences as well as a Graduate Certificate in Wetlands and Water Resource Management. She assisted an effort in the Miami Valley sampling soil to quantify carbon sequestration through sustainable agriculture methods. She was a cohort member of the ’24-’25 Environmental Leaders Program through The Partners for the Environment of Greater Dayton. In her career ahead, she looks forward to having an impact on soil health and water quality initiatives.
In her free time, Linsey enjoys gardening, hiking, trail running, and spending time with her two boys and dog. You might find her either at the soccer field or walking the wetlands all together with them!
