Jim Schneider first became aware of the Beaver Creek Wetlands Association while he was the Project Manager for Greene County Parks. He worked with volunteers from the Association as they worked on several conservation projects in the parks.
Following his retirement in 2008, Jim became a member in 2009 and was asked to serve on the board in 2010. Jim Worked with the Saturday crew and others, starting with the boardwalks at Koogler Reserve, where he is noted for developing the beautiful, curvilinear boardwalks.
Jim served his first two terms until 2016 and became the Land Management Committee Chair. Jim became Vice-President in 2014 and Jim served as President from 2015-2018.
Jim returned to the board in 2019 and served as Land Management Committee chair through 2022.
