Eric Marcus

Eric grew up in the New York city suburbs of Connecticut. After attending Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois, Eric transferred to Ohio State University and became a Buckeye. After graduation with a BS in Biology, Eric went to work as a unit manager for Domino’s Pizza. Two years later, he opened his first Domino’s franchise in Fairborn. A short time later, Eric took on a partner, Ted Arnovitz, and together they opened 75 Domino’s stores in Ohio, Indiana, New York, Wisconsin and Sydney, Australia. In 1990, having divested themselves of their stores in New York, Wisconsin and Australia, Eric moved to Beavercreek to concentrate on the 50 stores in Dayton and Indianapolis. Eric sold his company, Western Ohio Pizza in 2002 and for the last 20 years has devoted his time to nonprofits in the area. Eric looks forward to finally using his Biology degree, 50 years after graduating from Ohio State.

Eric is a member of the Rotary Club of Beavercreek and served as its President in 2008-09. In 2014-15, Eric served as District Governor for Rotary District 6670. Along with his Rotary activities, he has volunteered with the Exchange Student program. He and his wife Lela have hosted 15 exchange students and have many exchange “grandchildren” around the world.
