A collage of postcards featuring Ohio nature scenes—wildflowers, a hummingbird, and a stream—alongside a postcard template addressed to an Ohio Senator about supporting a wildlife trail project.Help Us Show Our Gratitude!

Thanks to the support of State Senator Kyle Koehler and the Ohio General Assembly, the Spotted Turtle Trail Project received $275,000 in Ohio’s new Capital Budget. Governor Mike DeWine signed Senate Bill 450 into law on June 15, making this funding a reality.

We’re inviting BCWA supporters to submit a brief message of appreciation through our online form. BCWA will print your messages on postcards and mail them to your State Representative, your State Senator and Governor DeWine.

Please keep your message focused on thanking them for supporting the Spotted Turtle Trail Project. If you have comments about other issues, we encourage you to contact your elected officials separately. We will prescreen all messages for appropriateness.

A stack of postcards from constituents is a powerful reminder that conservation matters to the people they serve. Thank you for helping us show our appreciation!

Submission deadline is Sunday, August 16, 2026.
