Preserve Our Wetlands. Protect Our Future.

Why do wetlands matter?

Wetlands function as the Earth's kidneys filtering out toxins, they help to mitigate climate change and provide clean water for our community.

For over three decades, we have dedicated ourselves to the tireless protection and restoration of the Beaver Creek wetlands corridor, spanning over 2,400 acres.

Wetlands are some of the most endangered ecosystems on the planet. Since the 1700’s, 90% of the wetlands have been eliminated in Ohio. Unfortunately, many of Ohio’s wetlands have been destroyed or degraded over time, often as a result of human activities like agriculture, development, and mining. This has had profound consequences for both the environment and our communities, including increased flooding, decreased water quality, and the loss of important species.
