Monarch Tagging- Fully Booked for 2023.

Check back for more Troop Monarch Tagging opportunities in 2024!

Bring your troop and join us for Monarch Tagging in the Beaver Creek Wetlands! The Monarch Watch Tagging Program is a large-scale community science project that was initiated in 1992 by MonarchWatch.org to help understand the dynamics of the monarch’s spectacular fall migration. Use this activity as part of a Citizen Science Journey, or just a fun troop outing. At this event your girls will learn about the monarch butterfly life cycle and how to properly catch, tag, and release these winged beauties. Then, use our provided nets to catch and tag as many monarchs as you can! We will also do a monarch related craft together! Select dates only. See interest form for availability.
