We are pleased to announce the Dedication Ceremony for James P. Amon Biodiversity Reserve.
Saturday September 24, 2022 at 10:00 am
Dr. Amon is retired from the Department of Biological Sciences at Wright State University and founding member of BCWA. He is a dedicated advocate for the conservation of the wetlands in Greene County. Formerly Fairborn Marsh, this piece of land was renamed in 2019 to honor him. Join us to help us celebrate Jim and this beautiful land he helped restore.
Light refreshments will be served. Short comments will be shared by fellow BCWA founder Dave Nolin and others. After the ceremony, please stay to enjoy a walk led by Jim Amon himself. He is a wonderful tour guide full of knowledge about the prairie, wetlands, and the history of restoring Amon Reserve back to its pre-settlement beauty.
Please bring a lawn chair.
Access entrance on western end of Deercreek Dr., via the Fawn Ridge neighborhood
