For more than 30 years, our members have supported our work
to restore and protect the wetlands
of the Beaver Creek and Little Beaver Creek in Greene County.

In the last year,
membership dues have funded
so many important efforts.

Hunter's Pointe Reserve

We were awarded a Clean Ohio Grant to restore 45.5 acres of fen and prairie at our newest conservation site, Hunter's Pointe. We have removed acres of invasive bush honeysuckle and planted hundreds of native plants. The restoration was completed in Spring 2020, and new trail will be added as part of the Spotted Turtle Trail Project.

New boardwalk

New boardwalk is being added, one section at a time, at Koogler Wetland/Prairie Reserve. Our partners Greene County Parks and Trails have generously donated the materials for the boardwalk and we have been working with groups of volunteers to install the new sections.

Native Trees

In May 2019, in partnership with Five Rivers MetroParks, we gave away more than 200 native trees to residents of Beavercreek whose properties were damaged by the 2019 Memorial Day tornado. Since then, we have received several large donations which will allow us distribute 500 native trees in Fall 2020.

Without the support of our members,
work like this would not be possible.
